1000 Books Progress Displays

A previous post highlighted displays of readers participating in a 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Displays of reading progress toward the 1000 book goal are also common features of 1000 Books programs. The following 3 Wisconsin public libraries received mini-grants to establish or enhance a 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Here is how they are marking participants' progress in the program.

Dots on lily pads mark the 100s of books read at the Oregon Public Library.

Participants' paper dolls receive wardrobe additions for each 100 books read at the Frederic Public Library.

All aboard at the Altoona Public Library! A dot in each train car represents 100 books read.
