Nutritious Food for Children in Child Care

Did you know that over 70% of Wisconsin’s families have children in child care?  At the same time, Wisconsin’s poverty rate is growing and creating financial stress – especially around food and its affordability.

With this in mind, the parents you serve in your library may want to know about a USDA Food Program that financially assists family child care providers in preparing healthy foods throughout the day. The program is offered at no cost to the parents or to the child care provider.

Feel free to contact me with questions, or if you’d like hard-copy fliers sent to you.

Thank you for your support and interest!
